St. Augustine is simply a magical place. It's rich history and small town feel make this paradise one of the most appealing places to live in America. US News & World Reports recently named the city as one of the Top Ten Places to live in America. From wandering the winding streets of the Historic District and dining at one of the many Famous Restaurants to spending a relaxing day in the sun at Anastasia Island, St. Augustine has something to offer everyone.

The Historic District
For the history buff, there is a wealth of knowledge and tradition in St. Augustine. Even before 1513 when Ponce de Leon discovered the Fountain of Youth and claimed it for Spain, there were large complex societies of Native Americans living in the St. Johns River area. Transport yourself to their world by taking an afternoon hike through nearby Favor-Dykes State Park and you will see mounds of oyster shells called midden. These are actual remnants of long gone civilizations.
